Mesa Grill Margarita

Serves: 1 cocktail

Bobby says: "On the rocks, straight up, with or without salt, this is it, my ultimate margarita. The key to this margarita is to keep it simple and to keep it tart. Fresh lime juice creates a brighter, more authentic margarita than any sour mix could."

2 ounces white tequila
1 ounce orange liqueur, such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 ounce fresh lime juice*
Ice cubes
Lime wedge
Coarse salt, optional

1. Place tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake for 10 seconds..

2. Rub the rim of a rocks glass with the lime wedge and dip in salt. Fill the glass with ice and strain the mixture into the glass and garnish with the lime wedge.

*For a bright crimson twist on the classic, add 1 ounce cactus pear syrup and cut the lime juice down to ½ ounce
